Hi there, My name is Robert. I’ve spent the last 10 years as an entrepreneur in real estate, software, and consumer packaged goods. At the end of last year, I sold a company that I built with a great team and partner. Now I am ready to start something new and go in a different direction. I am launching a sustainable cleaning product brand called Ecotiva. The organization behind this concept will be built as a remote operation from the beginning. I am looking for someone to be my first hire and help me launch this product and grow the company.
The day to day work would begin with a focus on marketing and then move to a full-on operations role. The day to day for the operations will be processes and systems intensive. Because the candidate will be the first hire at such an early stage in the company, there is the opportunity to design and shape these processes and have a large impact on the entire company.
What Is Ecotiva?
Ecotiva will be a brand of cleaning products made of healthy, sustainable ingredients, with reusable packaging. I’ve been working with designers to create the packaging. I am currently working with chemists to test the possibility of a solution we can mail to consumers in a dehydrated form that just needs water. This would significantly cut the cost of shipping and packaging. The product is almost completely ready. We now need to test the concept in the market.
The Ideal Candidate

I need someone who is great to collaborate with yet can work independently, able to bring ideas to the table, and wants to learn by doing.

The position will start with a lot of marketing. It would be great if you have experience with social media marketing, specifically Facebook and Instagram campaigns. Running campaigns won’t be the long-term role, this is to test this concept with the market. After we’ve tested the concept you should be able to hire and manage someone to run these campaigns.
After the marketing, your role would be that of an operations manager running the day-to-day. If you have experience with product management, managing projects, logistics, and any other operational skills that would be ideal. As the operations manager, you would know all the ins and outs of the company, coordinate with manufacturers, manage the team, and be the driving force behind everything.
It is ok if you don’t have strong experience in all of these areas. I am looking for someone who is passionate, can make things happen, and has the vision on how to take this product to market and grow and a company.
