HR Specialist needed to improve onboarding, retention & recruitment systems

We are looking for an experienced HR professional to work with us each week to help us improve existing HR systems and to implement new systems. This will be a ongoing role that will grows as our company continues to grow as we grow. We are thinking to start with it will be 10 hours a week role and increase as needed. We currently feel HR is a weakness area for us so we are looking for someone who can take charge in this area, make recommendations, and do what needs to be done to make this a strength area in our organization.

Some background

We are digital marketing agency with team members across 5 continents and in 11 cities around the world. All our work is remote. Most of our team members have never met another team member in person and 99% of our clients have never met one of our team members in person. We rely heavily on online communication tools like Skype, Zoom, and Google Docs to collaborate effectively.

Key areas where we need your help:

  • Develop and implement an internal onboarding program for all new employees including step by step training documents, employee handbook, and digital onboarding packets
  • Create systems to keep make sure documentation is consistently up to date and accurate.
  • Create HR Policies and Procedures
  • Create Systems to manage team member performance – training,  performance improvement plans
  • Help with improving our system for team member compensation and rewards
  • Help us to keep our talent pipeline full so we don’t have to scramble to find talent when someone quits.
  • Help with setting up employee metrics and KPIs to measure growth by
  • Setting up a system for regular employee reviews
  • Create and implement succession planning for all roles to ensure appropriate allocation of resources and planning for upcoming promotions and open positions.
  • Help set up systems to improve team member retention and help team members feel appreciated and valued.
  • Help with determining the order to do the above in based on the return it will bring the company
