What We’re About

Page One Brands is an established multi-million dollar brand and fast-growing e-commerce home goods company on the Amazon USA marketplace. Page One Brands manufactures most products in China. We are a highly efficient team based in the United States, Pakistan, and the Philippines.

Each month, Page One Brands ships full containers, consolidated full containers, and LCL from China to either our 3PL warehouse in California or directly to Amazon. When goods go to our 3PL, we store products here and drip products into Amazon’s warehouses as needed to maintain healthy inventory levels.

We are hiring a Supply Chain Manager who can manage and drive results across the entire supply chain -- ordering products at our factories managing our 3PLs and finally shipping to and reconciling shipments at Amazon.

This is currently an individual contributor role and does not require direct supervision or management of a team. We are seeking a top-talent individual with a depth of experience in supply chain and who isn’t afraid to get his/her hands dirty with work! As the company grows we will hire to support the Supply Chain department.

What’s the Role

As the Supply Chain Manager, you will have a tremendous impact on driving Page One Brands’ future growth and profitability. You will work closely with the Director of Operations to help us drive our top and bottom line to meet our annual goals. We are on the lookout for an experienced leader who already understands supply chain best practices and isn’t afraid to get his/her hands dirty with day-to-day operations. If you don’t thrive in a start-up environment, this job is not for you!

  • Your work will be managing our end-to-end supply chain -- from demand forecasting to ensuring we have healthy levels of inventory at Amazon… and everything in between!

  • You’re an ideal fit for this role if you live and breathe supply chain and inventory management.

  • You also bring a breadth of knowledge across multiple supply chain disciplines -- for example, ocean freight, trucking, warehousing, and demand forecasting.

What You’ll Do

  • Ensure healthy inventory levels across our network (not over or under-stocked)

  • Develop and execute Page One Brands’ supply chain strategy

  • Oversee Page One Brands’ end-to-end supply chain

    • Highly accurate demand forecasting

    • Place purchase orders with factories

    • Manage ocean freight (including consolidation in China as needed)

    • Arrange complete documentation for shipments

    • Determine routing of shipments (i.e. do we need inventory at Amazon now or
should we send to our 3PL?)

  • Partner with factories to ensure timely delivery and the highest quality products to our
    exact specifications

  • Manage third-party vendors to ensure we’re paying market rates and receiving excellent service (e.g. freight forwarders, 3PL, factories, trucking brokers, etc)

  • Reconcile inventory regularly to ensure goods are not missing

  • Communicate with and solve problems for customers as needed

  • Amazon marketplace management (e.g. monitoring and getting feedback and
reviews removed following an existing process)

  • Ad hoc projects

What Will Make Someone Successful

  • Expert-level experience and knowledge of supply chain and inventory
    management (both depth and breadth)
Very high levels of critical thinking and problem solving using numbers (e.g.
modeling out in Excel different options, comparing costs, identifying the qualitative pros/cons of each, identifying our business need and level of importance, and making a recommendation based on data)

  • Extreme attention to detail to ensure all data is accurate and correct -- this position does not tolerate frequent clerical mistakes

  • Very strong organizational skills to manage multiple shipments at the same time

  • Expert in shipping and logistics relevant math (e.g. how many cartons fit in a container, how many units per container, and how to calculate cubic meters)

  • Strong understanding of warehousing, inventory, and records maintenance

  • Strong business sense and understanding of China logistics operations and
    manufacturing processes

  • Strong personal drive and ability to work independently the majority of the time

  • Excellent communication and ability to develop strong relationships with third-party vendors

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment where major changes are made quickly

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s University degree, advanced degree preferred

  • 7+ years experience in logistics, warehousing or transportation operations

  • 5+ years of experience in inventory management systems

  • 1+ years of experience in remote work

  • Fluent in English – you will be communicating regularly with both native and non-native English speakers

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite products (specifically
    spreadsheets)

Nice to Haves

  • Fluency in Chinese is a plus - you will be communicating with Chinese factories and
    forwarders often

  • Previous Amazon experience

  • Experience with procurement, incoterm, and negotiations
