Overview:

Codecademy is looking for a knowledgeable programmer or instructor to help write our newest content, which we’ll teach using Python, JavaScript, Java, and SQL, among other languages and frameworks. The Catalog Content Contributor works directly with the Codecademy Curriculum team to author interactive lessons, quizzes, and projects to help turn a high-level syllabus into reality. This is a remote, part-time position.

Opportunity Highlights:

• Design and author interactive lessons, quizzes, and projects.

• Think pedagogically to break down technical concepts into digestible exercises

• Collaborate with Codecademy's Curriculum team to craft learning outcomes and build a compelling learner experience.

Skills & Qualifications: 

• Fluency with and experience in Machine Learning (ML) techniques

• Familiarity with Data Science (DS) tools like Jupyter, Github

• Familiarity with DS/ML libraries in Python such as scikit-learn, matplotlib, pandas and PyTorch/TensorFlow

• Experience with formal or informal teaching

• A strong command of written and spoken English

• Experience using Generative AI tools

Bonus Qualifications: 

• Professional experience in data science/machine learning/AI

• Experience using the Codecademy platform

• Experience writing educational content that reaches a wide audience in a digital format

Target hourly range for this job requisition is anticipated to be $50 hourly.
