Account Executive

Growth Machine, an SEO and content marketing agency supporting major CPG, D2C, e-commerce, and technology companies, is growing our sales team.

We’re a fully-remote 7-figure boutique agency whose content is read by millions of people. Our work can be found in just about every industry you can imagine, and we've been featured in TechCrunch, Shopify, Ahrefs, GrowthHackers, and more.

We’ve grown to this point on inbound leads and word of mouth, but in order to take our growth to the next level, we are building and scaling an effective outbound sales engine.

Now, we’re looking for an experienced mid market sales person who is eager to work directly with our VP of Sales and CEO to learn our current sales process, build out your own strong and sustainable pipeline, and close deals with ACV between $20k and $50k. This would be a fully remote AE role with an OTE of $125k-$150k, based on experience.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll join the sale team as a full sales cycle account executive, focusing on a mid-market sales process qualifying and closing mid-market sales cycles. The sales process here should be consultative and relationship based since our engagements are typically 1-2 years with a long term strategy.

While you’ll have a clearly defined sales process to follow, we want to also continue to improve and iterate as we integrate more outbound sales motions into our once, inbound only funnel.

Handling inbound inquiries

You will be a part of the inbound lead rotation, qualify these inbounds and drive the full sales cycle.

Outbound lead generation

We are looking for sales pros that don't rely on leads and generate their own. Don't worry we follow prospecting best practices and have a sales leader who comes from a heavy outbound sales background to support you. We’re looking for a strategic approach with customized outreach.

Pipeline management

You'll have full ownership of your sales cycle. (customer discovery and qualification, custom presentation of our services, proposals, negotiation and customer onboarding discussion)

You'll look for opportunities to improve our sales process, provide feedback, partner with the customer side of the business and bring aboard your wonderful ideas to make Growth Machine better. This is a company where we value everyone's talent to reach our goals together!

Requirements

  • You have 3+ years of B2B inside sales experience. Your years should come from a SMB or mid-market sale, closing between 15k-50k+ ACV, being a consistent performer, and managing an end-to-end B2B sales pipeline.

  • You have great communication and relationship building skills. You're experienced in and comfortable managing client expectations and making sure clients are well taken care of, before and after they sign the contract.

  • You love systems. You're always looking for ways to improve the process, whether by adjusting, automating, or another way.

  • You're a quick learner. Ideally you will have worked in an agency environment or at least have an understanding of SEO. If this isn't already in your skillset, you're willing and able to develop a strong knowledge base in SEO and content marketing within your first few weeks on the job (with support, of course).

  • You can keep your pipeline full. You have proven experience executing outbound outreach while balancing a strong planning strategy to manage your pipeline successfully to meet your sales targets consistently.
