Job Description:

The People Team Business Partner will be responsible for a wide range of People Team functions tailored to meet the unique needs of our clinical staff. This individual will collaborate closely with leadership to develop and implement policies and procedures that align with our company's values and goals. Additionally, they will play a key role in managing employee relations issues, administering benefits, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and fostering a positive work culture within our clinical teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with clinical leadership to understand our healthcare professionals' unique needs and challenges.

  • Provide guidance and support to clinicians, nurse practitioners, doctors, and nurses on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.

  • Collaborate with department managers to address employee relations issues and resolve conflicts promptly and effectively.

  • Conduct regular check-ins with clinical staff to gather feedback, identify areas for improvement, and ensure high levels of engagement and satisfaction.

  • Assist in the retention of top talent by participating in the hiring process, conducting interviews, and developing retention strategies.

  • Coordinate and facilitate training and development programs for clinical staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.

  • Act as a liaison between clinical staff and the People department, ensuring clear communication and alignment of goals and objectives.

  • Stay informed about industry trends and regulatory changes affecting healthcare professionals, and proactively address any implications for our organization.

  • Collaborate with other People Team professionals and cross-functional teams to drive organizational success and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Support the onboarding processes for new hires, providing orientation and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

  • Manage employee relations issues, including complaints, conflicts, and grievances, focusing on fairness and impartiality.

  • Conduct thorough investigations into employee-related issues such as harassment, discrimination, or misconduct.

  • Administer benefits programs, including enrollment in health insurance and other benefits plans.

  • Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws and regulations, stay informed of changes, and maintain accurate employee records.

  • Assist with performance evaluations and employee development initiatives, working closely with managers to set goals and track progress.

  • Contribute to talent acquisition efforts by providing market insights and local practices.

  • Maintain confidentiality of employee information and ensure data accuracy in HR systems.

  • Provide timely and professional HR-related support and guidance to employees and managers.

  • Participate in global employee-related projects and initiatives as needed.

  • Collaborate with other departments and leadership to create and implement HR strategies that support company growth and success.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5+ years of proven working experience in Business Partner roles that specifically have worked within the healthcare industry with clinicians.  Telehealth experience is highly preferred. 

  • Experience working with both 1099 and w2 employees.

  • Experience working in a start-up environment and creating processes and policies from scratch is highly desirable.

  • People-oriented with a results-driven mindset.

  • Demonstrable experience with HR metrics and data analysis.

  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.

  • In-depth knowledge of labor laws and best practices.

Compensation for the People Business Partner is based on experience and ranges between $105,000-$120,000 annually.
