Sales Development Representative

About the role

We're hiring our first Sales Development Representative! You’ll directly work with the founding team and be responsible for hunting and qualifying leads to build sales opportunities for Vimcal Maestro.

Working with us means having both high ownership and high amounts of freedom. At Vimcal, we do whatever it takes to make executive assistants and users successful. You may have to reply to an inbound lead at 10pm, but we also don’t mind if you have to go run errands at 11am on a Wednesday.

Vimcal is primarily based in New York City and we work together 2-3 days per week. For this role you’re ideally located here, but we're willing to allow remote for exceptional candidates. In that case, you must be based in the US, can work Eastern Time hours, and can spend 25% of your time in New York City.

No experience is required. In fact, we welcome new grads to apply!

You will:

  • Source new sales opportunities through outbound outreach

  • Conduct research to identify and add prospects to your outbound sales list

  • Maintain and log all sales touch points within Hubspot

You may be a good fit if you:

We don’t care what school you went to and what you majored in. What we care about is how driven you are to succeed in this role.

  • Previously competed at high levels (sports, performing arts, etc.)

  • Find it easy to speak with strangers

  • Have a high level of comfort with sales, prospecting and marketing tools, & processes

  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Have a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets

  • Have a high sense of urgency and ability to work within undefined processes

Nice to Haves

  • Experience with startup/smb sales/cold outreach

  • Experience in using HubSpot or Salesforce

  • Experience in building prospect lists

  • Experience at a high-growth startup
